Where We Started
Creating a clear, approachable, and easy-to-manage website for a healthcare organization that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.
The Problem
Background
The website served several types of users including families, job seekers, and existing staff, and each group needed fast access to clear and reliable information.
What Wasn't Working
Why It Mattered
Support Solutions provides vital resources to families who are often already overwhelmed, so clarity and ease of use were essential for reducing stress and building trust. In addition, the team needed a website platform they could confidently manage without constant external support.
Discovery & Understanding
To begin, we held meetings with Support Solutions to confirm project priorities and establish shared expectations. We reviewed the existing website in detail to identify opportunities for improvement, and examined content architecture and proposed sitemaps to ensure that the reorganized version would reflect user needs and client goals. We also evaluated which CMS would be the best long-term option and decided that Webflow offered the simplest, most flexible, and most sustainable solution for their team. Before moving into design, I presented three different visual direction options and collaborated with the client to choose the one that aligned best with their brand and goals.

Design Strategy
Goals
Create a website that feels clear and easy to navigate
Users should be able to find what they need with minimal effort.
Highlight career and employment opportunities
Clear pathways were needed for prospective staff to explore and apply.
Build a long-lasting foundation that is simple to manage
The platform should be easy for internal staff to maintain without technical expertise.
Guiding Principles
Keep content organized and meaningful
Only display what users need and structure information logically.
Use a familiar layout and visual system
Predictability helps users explore without hesitation.
Empower the client for long-term management
Training and documentation should support confident independent maintenance.
Exploration & Decisions
We translated content maps and sitemap decisions into low fidelity layouts, then into a customized Webflow-friendly design system that could scale with future needs. We documented key patterns and components so that development and future updates would remain organized and consistent. After aligning on direction, we styled each page based on finalized content and held regular check-ins to review progress, gather feedback, and ensure the evolving design stayed aligned with the client’s goals.

Final Experience
The final website provided a welcoming and reassuring experience for families while offering clarity and direct entry points for job seekers and staff. Page layouts included clear sections, refined typography, consistent components, and simplified navigation flows, resulting in faster comprehension and lower stress for users who may be searching for help in emotionally heavy moments. The design system created inside Webflow also allowed the client to expand or adjust the site over time without needing technical expertise.
